Behind the Scenes Fundraising
Since 2004, Baseplan has been a behind the scenes support of St Lucy's annual fundraising efforts. St Lucy's is a school for children with disabilities aged between 4 and 12 years old.
Throughout the years, money raised at the annual fundraising has helped support huge improvements to the schools facilities. These include:
- St Lucy's kids now enjoy a playground that is safe, colourful and adventurous.
- The new creative arts centre provides a nurturing learning environment where the children are taught independence and other life skills.
- Refurbished library and swimming pools.
Getting Down and Dirty for Cancer
Baseplan staff dusted off their running shoes and commenced training for the 2010 Mud Run in support of the Cancer Council.
In its second year, the 3,000 strong crowd ran, waded, swam, jumped, pulled, and fell in the cross country event famous for its challenging natural and muddy obstacles.
Living up to its name, the course was heavy on the mud and less on the running, but a great day was had by all. The camaraderie of all participants and the great atmosphere made it a wonderful event.

Growing Mo's for the Bro's
Putting vanity aside for another year, the men of Baseplan Software locked up their razors to grow their moustaches for Movember.
Each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men's faces in Australia and around the world, with the sole aim of raising vital funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer and depression.
Since inception, Movember has continued to grow each year, both in terms of participation numbers and funds raised. In its first year, 30 Mo Bros took part and last year, in Australia alone more than 128,000 Mo Bros and Sistas got on board, raising more than $21 million for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, beyondblue - the national depression initiative, and the Movember Foundation.
To date, Baseplan has raised more than $6,500 for Movember.
Victorian Bushfire Appeal
On the weekend of 7th—8th February 2009, the state of Victoria, Australia, experienced phenomenal devastation, heartache, and human loss as a result of massive bushfires.
These bushfires not only caused an extraordinary loss of livelihood, property, livestock, and wild animals, but also a great number of people lost their lives.
The Victorian Premier John Brumby launched the 2009 Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund in partnership with the Australian Government and Red Cross to support communities impacted by devastating fires which have ravaged many parts of Victoria.
Here at Baseplan, staff wanted to show their support to those in need and as such were able to raise an amazing $3,050 in just five days! In addition, Baseplan Software matched this amount and some by donating an extra $5,000 bringing the total donation to $8,050.
